The day kicked off with a great first talk by the always innovative George McCracken. Discussing the importance of building design, George posed some interesting insights on how building design and innovation can influence water safety and quality.
A GOSH Case Study
Who could forget Mike Ralph’s talk on ‘a sustainable design: a GOSH case study’? Following a sustainable design GOSH were able to achieve:
- No Legionella
- Reduced Psuedomonas
- No TMV’s
- Money saved
- Carbon saved

Byron Bedford Takes To The Stage

Lunch
For obvious reasons lunch is always up there in our highlights reel. But, food aside, the LEAP lunch break was a great time to catch up with all attendees and get into some great discussions on water treatment.
K. Clive Thompson: The Effectiveness Of Biocides In Water Treatment
If you didn’t know Clive was a renowned expert on water treatment, first of all where have you been? And, secondly, listen to his insightful talk on the effectiveness of biocides in water treatment.
Round Table Discussions
Saving the best until last the round table discussion at LEAP were up there with one of our favourite moments of the day! As always, the round table discussions are a great opportunity for attendees to have informal yet insightful discussions with fellow industry professionals on all things water treatment and Legionella control. And this year’s certainly didn’t disappoint: we definitely learnt a thing or two from all of our fabulous attendees!
