Case study - Eastbourne Hospital
In July 2008 ProEconomy installed the Orca system at this 630 bed hospital.
Before commissioning 50 of the worst points throughout the hospital were tested, 25 came back positive for Legionella. The hospital was operating an excellent temperature control regime.
One month after the Orca was installed the same 25 points that were positive for Legionella pre-Orca, were tested again. Only 4 came back positive. By October the Orca had eliminated Legionella completely.
ProEconomy’s Orca did in 3 months what the temperature control regime had failed to do since it was introduced by the Department of Health. Yet again confirming that the temperature control regime is ineffective and actually dangerous to the public.
